This is the face of a girl who is super excited! Why? Was it because she got up early this am and jogged 3 miles or was it because she’s 1.6 lbs lighter? Maybe it was both! Happy Wednesday!
Benefits of rope jumping
Jumping rope is inexpensive, simple to learn and great for your health. Boxers, tennis players and all sorts of other athletes incorporate rope jumping into their training routines. All you need is a pair of good shoes, a rope and some funk. You…

In August, I start a brand new teaching job that I am super excited about. I will be teaching only chemistry which is my first love! I’m also getting a new apartment as well! I feel like with these changes coming, it is the perfect opportunity to….

“I do believe that we have the opportunity to continue - I repeat myself over and over again with this - to redefine and reinvent ourselves and as long as we do that, then I think we’ve got some pretty good odds in our favor, because we’re not always presenting the same thing.”- Patrick Warburton
Reinventing myself so far has been such a fun yet scary process all at the same time! I have a lot of plans for this summer and I am super excited about it!
“People who cannot invent and reinvent themselves must be content with borrowed postures, secondhand ideas, fitting in instead of standing out.”- Warren G. Bennis
Amen to that! So what are some things that I’m doing? I will share a few with you.
1. SAVINGS, SAVINGS, SAVINGS.. I can admit, I have not been the best with money management. However, that is all beginning to change. Transitioning to a new job and new apartment means spending money. But the great part about it is that I am moving into a smaller apartment that is closer to my job saving me about $200 a month! Whoooo….Hooooo….
2. Meditation… I spend so much time trying to fix/work on my physical appearance. I’m going to spend just as much time this summer working on my spiritual self as well. I am going to commit to spending at least 10 to 15 minutes a day meditating. Should be fun and relaxing!
3. New Wardrobe through physical fitness.. I have a goal this summer: to lose at least 15 pounds or that equivalent in inches. I want to start my new job, confident, and with some cool(don’t worry mostly from the thrift store) professional, SMALLER business attire!(preferably all size 8’s and 10’s)
4. De-clutter… I’m getting rid of unnecessary things that I don’t need, like televisions that I don’t use, extra pieces of furniture, etc. Clearing my space of clutter, for me, means clearing my mind.
5. Organization.. I’m going to spend this summer getting ready for my new job. I’m going to begin making lesson plans, activities, etc. This will be great because it will free up time for me during the school year! I want to do better this year and not have much work to take home.
6. More Reading… I love to read books. I’m going to spend some time reading. Reading relaxes me.
There are soo many other things that I’m doing but I think I’ve shared enough! Every once in a while, you should re-invent yourself! It keeps you from getting bored, but most importantly, you keep growing, becoming a better person.
excited and nervous at the same time!
